Project Cheer 2006: This year, we are asking that donors help our adopted Kentucky community. This coal-mining region has little resources to help put food on the table and clothing on their children. This community needs food more than anything else. 2006 Corporate Sponsors: We welcome corporate sponsors. To become involved, collect new items from your corporation and contact Shelly Zimmerman at szimmerman@focusamerica.org to arrange for shipping and/or a pick-up. Focus America sponsors children from various agencies throughout the country. Student volunteers match children up with donors who send educational items, clothing, and toys during the holiday seasons. In 2002, we sponsored 75 children in Illinois and New Jersey. In 2003, we sponsored almost 1200 children in seven states. In 2004, we sponsored over 1500 children. In 2005, we sponsored over 1000 children.
