FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Students Arrange NYC Fund Raiser
for Focus AmericaFEBRUARY 3, 2003-CONVENT STATION, NJ: Local college students that are volunteering
with Focus America A NJ Non-Profit Corporation, have arranged a fund raising
event in partnership with Conquest Marketing (New York, NY). The event will be held at the China Club in New York City on February 27th
at 10pm. Money raised by advanced ticket sales will be donated to Focus America
to help cover expenses involved with the creation of a new computer lab for
children at the homeless shelter in Morristown. “ Conquest Marketing was very receptive to the idea of organizing the
event in order to donate money to our charity,” said recent college graduate,
Elizabeth Santos from Passaic NJ, Director of Community Relations for Focus
America. “Their Event Coordinator, Elvis Padron, and his partners,
have been extremely generous in donating their time and knowledge to
help make this
event happen, especially since they know the money will be used to help
provide educational programs for these displaced children.” Focus America works specifically with destitute and underserved communities
throughout the USA, focusing on addressing basic needs (shelter, food,
and clothing) then introducing educational programs to help the communities
achieve
self-sufficiency. Their ultimate goal is to help eliminate poverty
in these underdeveloped communities. Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance and can be purchased online
at www.FocusAmerica.org with a Visa or MasterCard or by contacting
Elizabeth Santos at esantos@focusamerica.org. For more information about
